Subway sealing strip manufacturers inform that doors and windows generally use EPDM sealing strips, which have special grooves for sealing strips on the slats and window frames. The main function is to insert the sealing strip between the slats and the inner sash, making the glass and frame more tightly sealed, thus ensuring the air tightness of the doors and windows. The installation position of the EPDM sealing strip should be flat, without curling or stretching, and the seam should be less than 1mm. The model of the EPDM sealing strip should match; if it is too large, the pressure strip cannot be inserted; if it is too small, the sealing strip is prone to falling off; if the glass and fan body are not tightly sealed, gaps will appear.

1. Subway sealing strip manufacturers suggest observing whether the surface of the EPDM sealing strip is bright, smooth, free of impurities, bubbles, and sawtooth marks. It should feel delicate and soft. Sealing strips filled with high-soft PVC have a rough surface, lack luster, and deform significantly.

5. Visually identify the quality of the tape from several aspects such as appearance, strength, smell, and combustion observation. Poor EPDM sealing strips have rough surfaces, significant deformation, poor strength, crack when folded, and break when torn. They smell like aromatic compounds that can pierce the nose. Excellent modified PVC sealing strips have delicate surfaces, good brightness, high strength, good elasticity, and no odor. When burned, the flame is colorful, the base is green, and it has a smell. After self-extinguishing, the filament is longer. EPDM sealing strips have advantages such as high strength, good elasticity, small deformation, bright surface, and high density (about 1.5). When burned, the flame base is blue, smokeless, and the residue does not stick, and cannot be brushed off after burning. The performance of thermoplastic EPDM sealing strips is similar to that of vulcanized EPDM sealing strips, with a non-lustrous surface and lighter feel (specific gravity 0.90~-0.95), leaving sticky residues after burning.
6. In addition to the above markings, the groove width of commercial profiles varies by manufacturer (aluminum alloy profiles are more prominent); the thickness tolerance of glass varies. To ensure secure embedding, each door and window company can choose qualified EPDM sealing strips based on the actual profile dimensions, tailored to fit.
